For those of you who were expecting to see the Effacy website, well, it is no longer. The company has officially begun the transformation from being service lead to focusing on product development; as such, a web presence is no longer necessary.
The same characters remain (and a few more have joined in), but different ventures lie ahead. The first being Simplar - a concept (and company) that has been in gestation for a number of years, is finally forging ahead. Simplar is bringing to market a tool to support requirements and early stage design; a tool for the Business Analyst, Systems Analyst and Interaction Designer. We developed a prototype 18 months ago and had an extremely good response from the market. Since then we've developed the design to support our own experiences in small and large teams for localized and distributed development, to support traditional methods as well as few extensions of our own. With a few unique (though not necessarily new) points of difference we hope that we can forge a pretty solid path into this space.
The second being Midas Infomedia. A little less ambitious than Simplar, this concept looks at means of information analysis and representation. Our first product, one could say, is a "funked up" reporting tool for media and intervention analysis. Variations of this tool are being commercialized for stakeholder analysis and service line monitoring. Good news is we have successfully deployed the product into one of the countries largest companies.
Finally, a much earlier stage venture (more myself than the Effacy team, though I'm taking a less commanding role in the company) is GreenScreenz. A company with a few good ideas in the sustainability space but still in the market research stage.
So, if you came here looking for some services or IT consulting I'm afraid thats not our game any more. But thanks for looking.
